Can anyone tell me more about investment banking?

i am interested in investment banking and possibly becoming an investment banker in the (nearish) future. can anyone tell me:

-what the job entails
-typical salary (and if this is high in comparison to other jobs)
-qualifications needed (UK)
- if it is a satisfying job/ interesing job/ do you like it?

I do it in the States so Yes it is very rewarding.

Job: Raising capital for companies...buying and selling investments based on the needs of clients.
Salary....most work on commission with a bonus at the end of the year.
not sure what the qual in the UK are...but you have to be licensed
Super satisfying and I love it

Only reason I would ever suggest for someone to get a job like that is when you're dedicated learning how the banking system works. because, no matter what you think about this job, you will find out soon enough that all this banking system is one of the worst corrupt ones in the world.
