Have you ever been on a summer internship at a London's investment bank? |
If so... Yes I did this one summer during University for an Investment Bank in London. It depends what area you are working in to be honest - I was looking to get into trading so I was a desk assistant on the commodity trading desk which was both interesting and pretty exciting. It gives you a good idea if it's something you wanna end up doing and can lead to a job offer. The money is pretty good compared to your average summer job, I guess you can expect about $3000 - $3500 a month with one of the big banks but I am basing this on London rates so it may be less in the US.....some do not even pay I think. I was not provided with accomodation but was earning enough to pay for a short tenancy on an apartment, some banks will provide this for you though. As for help in finding a place, part of what a bank will look for in a candidate is initiative so I guess you can use that to find somewhere :-) Good luck |
