The answer would depend if you are a summer intern at the undergraduate level or graduate level (i.e. MBA candidate). It also has to deal with which function of the firm, i.e. equities, fixed income, etc. Please keep in mind that a summer internship for MBA candidates is a way to secure a job offer.
