What is the difference between working for US investment bank and a European investment bank? |
ie, what is the difference between the culutre at UBS and the culture at Lehman Bros? I don't know about the money aspect - but in general working culture in Europe is different from US for most employers (not just investment banks). That is at least in part due to the fact that some European governments have written laws mandating limits on work weeks. For example, in France I believe the work week is limited to 35 hours. In the US on the other hand 40 is considered minimum for full-time by many, and it is common in many companies for people to work 50 or more. |
