How can I buy individual stocks ???

How can I buy individual stocks, like microsoft, apple, sony etc. Can I buy right away from these companies insted of buying from brokers.( I have to pay commision, fees etc.)
I'm intrested on long term investment.

I use Scottrade. Only seven bucks a trade. You can also sign up for a DRIP. (Dividend reinvestment plan) Your dividends are automatically reinvested at no charge. You can google to find the 800 numbers for each individual stock. They usually charge you a fee to set it up. I agree with sticking with funds at least in the beginning. Less risk.

the best way is set up an account with a discount broker. i use charles schwab. it's 10 bucks a trade. no annual fees either.

personally i've always been burnt with individual stocks. best luck with buying indexes. look into diamonds and spyders. DIA and SPY

Just a losy joke... I thought you ment where you can buy individual socks.LOL

1) Yes. (Microsoft)
2) No. (Apple)
3) No. (Sony)
