Where can I find small private companies to directly invest in?

I am interested in investing in small private companies, does anyone know of a classified type site or something where I can find potential investments like that?

There are lots of websites around that list various small and start-up businesses that seek additional funds from Angel Investors. There may be a monthly meeting of Angels in your town if you live in or near a a large metro area.

You will have to be an Accredited Investor - that is, meet certain income and assets requirements in order to invest. I suggest you partner with an existing Angel and do lots of reading.

Thousands of small businesses are looking for angle investors. (you) But be careful as to your imput and or return, there are as many scammers as there are real businesses
