Have Big Oil and Natural Gas Companies merged?

I am seeing ads on TV where the point of the ad is to stress to us that Oil and Natural Gas companies are working hard for the good of mankind and aren't they such wonderful people who are shining examples of civic responsibility, blah...blah...blah. The ad ends with a tag that says something like, "Brought to you by the Oil and Natural Gas Industry."

I find this very alarming. As if Big Oil doesn't rape us enough as it is, they should not be allowed to take over control of Natural Gas as well. I don't think I am being over-paranoid to believe if unchecked Big Oil will not be content until they totally control our money and our lives. I know they have made huge investments in Agriculture in the San Juaquin Valley of California.

What are your feelings about this? Have you seen this ad? Do you agree the only possible reason for spending millions on a pointless ad campaign like this is so they can say they were not secretive about this growing monopolization of power & control?

If they have not merged, or are planning to merge, then why would they place such a "say nothing" ad on TV? It doesn't make sense they would "split" the millions of the cost of the ad if they were not merging.

Is there anyone out there who does not own stock in either industry that honestly believes this is in the best interest of America...you and me, not Corporate America?

I live in Utah. As a rule the ever decreasing majority of Utahn's are naive and follow blindly anything they are told to by the "powers" in Salt Lake. All you have to do is "imply" the church is behind something and the sheep will follow without question. I think that is why so many scams are hatched here.

This is also why I am asking if you have seen this ad in your area? I have notice the water has been tested in Utah first on several different things to see how easily the new idea, scam, etc. is accepted.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

they should not be ble to merge together becuase if they do that they weill have a monoploly on the fuel industry. and then they can charge any price they want even to the point of making the stuff so expensive that no one can afford it except the rich peopel!

i have not seen the ad yet but i will watch for it!

yeah they are trying to keep their secrets in the open! LOL! but its true! they are trying to brain wash us into thinking they are being all honest and upfront when they still have a hidden adgenda!
