Any Real Estate Agents Out There?

Hello,

I recently got my license (IL) and will be working for a major real estate firm. I''m looking to establish a Web presence to build up a client base. Any suggestions, recommendations?

Also, I'm just starting so I don't have much to spend and has anyone worked with Homes.com? I spoke to a sales rep and liked thier site and capabilities but it's expensive, charging me $99 to start my Website & $49 a month thereafter to host, but it becomes $99 a month once I upgrade to have the ability to post my listings. I think it's rather expensive but if it's a good investment then I'll do it.

Yahoo? It's much cheaper but would it be relevant for hosting a real estate agent's website?

P.S. Century 21 is my company.

If your company is a major company, they should be offering you webspace off of their central corporate site. They also probably have your listings in their database on the company site. If that is the case, don't overpay for a website. Yahoo business offers very inexpensive web hosting with a site builder (it has real estate templates). You can run your site for less than $20 a month and just link in to your corporate site for customers to search properties. Then go to this link:

Search engine optimization is the key to the game. Good luck, hope it helps.

I am an agent in Virginia. My website (JVHomeSeller.com) is hosted by Z57. it costs about $50/month and I can easily change and add features. I suggest you look into it.

Regards,

Jim

I was a realestate agent for many years until I got into web work and the hardest part about starting out are the outrageous fees that agents have to pay.Not only for hosting but mls fess as well.

If I were you I would not pay $50+ a month for a website.

Try the host I use there awesome :

Less than $10 a month!

They have a lot of 1 click scripts that can be installed to do exactly what you need.

There are also a lot of free open source scripts that are perfect for realestate agents I don't have the addys on hand at the moment but if you want just send me an email and I'll dig them up for you.
