Where can I find an international dealer for trading in carbon emmission offsetting by poluting companies? |
I am looking for investment monies in exchange for native forest carbon sink resource. I believe power companies and energy companies and aviation industries have a present commercial need for carbon offestting and I need to be able to evaluate what a heactre of virgin forest is worth in US$ terms per year and what is the normal contract duration is for such deals and who would broker such deals or are they done directly with the companies themselves ( their marketing departments ? or other ) Any information provided would be welcome. This may not be too helpful but I know New Internationalist magazine recently ran an issue on offsetting, so you may find lots of info and links there. |
