How does the franchisee system work in india ?

i have a shop in a 5 star hotel in bombay , am wondering if i want to let it out on a franchise basis to a reputed company. but have no knowhoa of how the system works , what is the investment etc , can someone pls guide me on this , i would be grateful.

Dear it works like this,
suppose you want to start fenchise counter of share brokers....
main broker will ask you to become his frenchise...by undergoing some sebi formalities...once it gets clear...you became fenchise of that share broker...then whatever business you do from there in share broking you will get some share say 40% or so & rest 60 % will go to share broker...against that he will provide you all infrastructures...etc...that cost is born by him...
