Verizon or Starbucks... two very different companies and sectors... which one has the best long term potential

Please note: By long term I mean as an investment for the next 15-20 years?

Which company do you believe would be the better investment?

I would pick Verizon. I think they are in a better position to be inovative and there will probably be another technology boom in the next 15 years. What can starbucks do,come up with another latte.

Personally I think the Market Leader in Gourmet Coffee will have a more stable market long term. I would go with Starbucks also because the stock is cheap now so it will go up when our economy is cleaned back up.

Which industry will have the most hurdles. Coffee drinking and communication technologies?

Each will have ups and downs that are unforeseeable. The best thing would be to diversify and buy both.
