Subway or McDonalds which is a better franchising investment for Houston Texas?

I need to know if anyone has had experiene with either of these companies. I am interested in buying a established resturant or starting with a new building. Thank you so much

I'd say McDonalds. Houston is a fast-paced city, I live in south Texas and people are always talking about how in Houston things are GO GO GO! And since it's such a fast city McDonalds would fit right it! Subway is too slow.

If we all had McD's why would we even be here ? we'd be in some tropical country enjoying the sea and sun :)

If you come to Yahoo answers to ask this question, then money is probably not something you are made of. A Subway franchise is much cheaper than a McDonalds franchise.

Keep in mind that "better" is a relative term to the person asking.

Well I will tell you this, I live outside of Houston, in Alvin and we are growing rapidly. We do have a subway and a McDonalds, but we don't have a Wendy's or an Arby's!! My husband and I love Arby's and there isn't one around here...not in Pearland, or even Friendswood. There are houses and new business starting to go up like crazy over here so it might be worth checking into. Good luck on your new business no matter where you decide to set up!

People now a days are starting to eat healthier, i would try a subway... somewhere in the woodlands area.
