If you buy units of an index fund? What happens if the company goes broke? Like vanguard or something? |
Will you lose all your investment? all vanguard is a holding company they could go broke but there holding could still be quite strong!!!! Even if the fund manager goes broke, its unlikely the assets in the fund would become worthless. The fund assets are held in "escrow"-type holdings that are separate from the fund mangement company's accounts. |
