What kind of a job is working in customer care?

I am 28 years old, with no job experinnce at all, I only have my associate degree in general science. I just got a job to work in customer care in a very big investment company overseas. I really dont know what kind of a job does the customer care do and where can i get a little train and information, i have no time i have to start the job from sunday, please help me with this,

I'm in customer care, but on a much smaller, local scale. I answer the phone, cajole unhappy customers into a less irate mood if possible, and make sure they get what they want and need. When they yell at me that they paid for this item, and want it, I agree wholeheartedly, and do everything I can to make sure they get it, get to talk to whomever they need to, or otherwise fix the problem to the best of my ability. Keeping or making a paying customer happy is the goal. And most folks are really very nice and reasonable, once you get through their frustration. Your frustration must never come across. It can be a high stress job, but not all the time. There's also a lot of satisfaction in taking care of people. And I walked into this with no real job experience either, but a whole lot of education.

You were offered and took a job and have no idea what the job is? That sounds very odd to me. Nobody can tell you what the job entails because customer care can mean many things.

Call the company and ask for the company care department and then ask the person that answers if you can interview them for career day and ask all the questions you want!
Pretend to be a student!
