Want to be an Investment banker how can i get my series 6 or 63 license on my own? |
I have experience within the sales industry working with a large computer company. I am interested in finding out how i can switch careers to work as an investment banker. I did my research and found out that most comapnies want you to have a series 6 or 63. Is there a way i can get this license easily studying for it on my own. What advise can you please give me First off You need your series 7 for individual stocks 6 will give you mutual funds. Check the rules in your state In New York. you have to be sponsered by a company to even sit for the test. Most companies will send you for training I have passed my 7 and wouldnt recomend attempting it on your own |
