Investment in oil futures? |
hi can anyone please enlighten me on this topic? i mean a complete answer for a dummy in the area? i am told this can be done by a company of any size..... and can this be an overseas investment? Unless you are a knowledgeable and sophisticated investor you do not want to risk investing in oil futures. The problem is the leverage. The futures market requires only a 10% payment. In other words for $1000 you can buy $10,000 worth of oil. What that means is that if the market is with you you have a 10x leverage in your favor. But if the market is against you, you can be wiped out in a heart beat. keep away, invest in recycling companies they are about to hit the motherload... Oil or petroleum industry is ever growing. Ever heard of a petroleum company going bankcrupt?..no!. If you are 200% serious then send me e-mail I will attach information. Why I can not answer here? you may think because the info which I get are copyright protected and the only way to help you is to send you as it is for your own use. Your question isn't super clear: are you investing as an individual or for your cormpany? Either way, all you need is a basic online account with any brokerage firm and you can invest in oil futures.
