How to analyse a company's annual report?

analysis should be done in such a way so as to understand the company's investment, financing&dividend decisions.if possible, analyse by taking the example of any MNC

Crap i dont know. make a graph. those are always good. multiple graphs. Bar graphs.

You do it by using the financial ratios such as PPE, debt ratios, ROA, etc. and compare the results against the industry averages.

these are big documents [therefore sweaty efforts are required] and i assume that you understand all the fin jargon that go into it.

fundamentally you could look into annual reports for the following information
1. Tactics / strategy / information related to business moves

.2 Financial ratios and thereby the health of the orgnanization, it could also be certain patterns like liabilities, debts, capital, allocations etc..

3. it is always good to compare annual reports as an e.g. if you are looking @ hpcl annual report, dig out Reliance industries, IOc and ONGC and look at all of them

4. writing style and reporting style and standards and compliance can be gathered from annual reports [ infy wipro are great places to do that

best annual reporting luck to you
