Can a private ltd. company attract FII investment before its ipo if yes, how?

It can take the Venture Capital route or the Private Placemetn Route. But for both they need to get clearance from the FDI board/RBI.

The private placement is the best route to take since you can set the return. Also if the company fails then each investor is a general partner. You will need a prospectus (not Cheap) and a broker dealer to sell the issue (not cheap either) Be prepared to have a full plan together when visiting an atty to have it drawn up along with good financial for the last few years if you want to get investors attention. Then it can be sold any where the broker dealer is BLUE SKIED
