Stansberry & Associates Investment Research Company are they a scam company or are they legit.?

They provide research.

Unfortunely to get customers, most research firm tend to report their success and fail to provide detailed or representative data. I could see where you could be mislead by their ads, into thinking that with $5K, you too could be a millionaire in a few years.

If you told me that I could have made $400,000 if I had invested $5K in each trade that you recommend starting in 2005, then I would want to know how many trades did I have to make, how many at the same time, what was the max amount of money I had invested, and what was my max lose. Is my profit the result of one of more killings in the market earlier on?

Before investing in research, realize that the company is making money by selling you research. I recommend you do more reading at your public library. Find out more on how the market works.
