What kind of job do i have to be hired for by an investment company to be eligible for the series 7 exam?

Sales assistant or broker in training. If you don't pass the test you are usually fired.

Any position in which you can buy or sell single stocks. A series 6 allows you to buy and sell mutual funds, only. With a series 7 you might be able to buy and sell mutual funds.Plz correct me if i am wrong.
