Has anyone developed a real estate investment company?

I am trying to decide if I want to invest in real estate with other people or if I should just do it by myself. I think if I invest with other people I'll be able to invest into more properties and because of the lower risk.

As one who has worked for a real estate investment company with partners, I say go it alone, otherwise if you personally are not managing the property, you may be asked to contribute more money if the company is having financial problems.

By joining others, you increase risk- based on thier desicions. You invest yourself and live by your choices.

It's not a good time to start investing in real estate. The market's changed and most deals are "who you know" deals. You may be better off putting your money somewhere else. But if you are set on investing in real estate you may want to look into an established REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust).
