What is the best long term investment company to purchase on the ASX?

New investor to the stock market and I'm learning alot...any ideas, and how do I tell if the company will last and earn a profit?

Good question. I would probably have to say CSL LTD (symbol ASX:CSL) which is an australian healthcare company .
