Stock tips by e-mail?

I am subscribed to newsmax's email alerts. From time to time they send stock tips but they seem to be an advertised stock from some firm. Also I get unsolicited e-mails from time to time on AOL with stock tips that seem more like advertisements. Are these worth serious concideration for investment and do these types of tips actually pay off?

Well there's a guy who made a silmulated portfolio of his spam e-mail stocks. It's not doing so good. Check out the link.

If you want a good laugh, check out the Google "adsense" ads on the site.

99.999999999% of stock tips are worthless. next time you get a "tip", write down the price of the stock...i bet it will go down if you look a month later.
