Feeling nervous!? |
Hi, I am currently pursuing Undergrad degree in Math (planning to do second degree in Economics). Just go in there ready and willing to learn everything you can from them and gain valuable experience. Go in there dressed nicely and that will boost your confidence. Try to not be nervous. Everyone is nervous on their first day (I think, anyway) and soon your first day will be over & you'll be ready to run with the big guys. Just remember everyone feels nervous starting a professional job .. just remember to act professionally. Don't get involved in petty office gossip or act like you are at a frat party. Be pleasant to everyone and give your full attention to the job at hand and you won't have time to be nervous ...you will be working !! It's your first day on the new job. Every one of us who works or who has worked has gone through the same feeling, anticipation mixed with raw panic. Very important; Dont play smartass. You are a beginner so you should watch and learn from your boss. Respect him/her, dont argue with him/her at least not for the first 3 months. |
