Where do I go to apply for a Tax Identification Number for a revocable trust?

In order to place our respective trusts as TOD beneficiaries with an investment firm, we apparently need TIN's for both trusts. Where do we go to get them?

Revocable living trusts generally do not get their own tax id numbers. You use your own social security number since the trust is ignored for income tax purposes. The only exception is if someone else is the trustee (i.e., not you or your husband). That usually isn't the case.
