I was just hired at a Investment firm called Lehmans Brothers as an Administrative Assistant.......?


The pay is great which is 50,000 per year, I don't have a degree, but I am in college, this will be my first job as an administrative assistant, Please tell me the roles as an Admin Asst., the stress level, things that I need to know and avoid. Any feedback will be great!

Responsibilities:
Answer, screen and route telephone calls, take messages accurately
Coordinate travel itineraries, including flight, hotel and ground transportation
Process and trace expense reports and reimbursements
Develop and maintain reports in Excel
Submit TSRs when necessary
Faxing, filing, copying
Maintain company earnings calendars
Perform ad hoc projects as needed


Responsibilities:

Assist with invoice tracking, data entry, expense system reports and basic accounting functions
Build complex Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations
Create, update and maintain department Webpage using HTML and Macromedia Flash
Answer, screen and route incoming calls, take meeting minutes
Ability to interface with vendors and branch offices on a daily basis
Perform core administrative duties including phone coverage, copying, faxing, scanning, distributing mail, etc
Perform team-oriented tasks as required
Assist with key projects as required


Responsibilities:
Use Microsoft Office package to produce letters, memoranda, reports and PowerPoint presentations
Answer, screen, and route incoming calls
Schedule and coordinate meetings and conference calls
Arrange travel schedules and coordinate airline flights, hotels, and ground transportation
Route and prioritize mail
Create and maintain files
Maintain client list databases
Prepare and track expenses for T&E reports
Perform team-oriented tasks as required


Responsibilities:
Provide daily administrative support to a senior manager in an efficient, detail oriented, proactive manner. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Provide comprehensive administrative support
Answer, screen and route telephone calls
Arrange complex travel itineraries and coordinate airline flights, hotels, and ground transportation
Process and trace expense reports and reimbursements
Maintain busy calendar, including scheduling meetings, meeting and greeting visitors, coordinating conference rooms and meal arrangements
Assist in presentation preparation
Provide core administrative support such as faxing, filing, copying
Performing ad hoc projects as needed


All these were in NYC.
You'll do some of these on a daily or weekly basis, and others will come up now and again. Try not to stress out too much.

Admin Assistant positions vary from company to company. It's impossible to say what your role would be and the stress level. It will probably be pretty fast passed though.
