I have just accepted an internship with an Investment Firm. Was this a wise option considering that...? |
the internship was on the sales side of things and mainly back office stuff, not front office investment stuff. Are there any I-Bankers or people in the know who can actually tell me if the internship would still be worthwhile. Thanks From personal experience, an internship is just to get you familiar with a field. I had an internship with American Express Tax Business services doing light taxes, filing and the like. It's one of the factors thats considered for an entry level postion but not the main factor. They look at your college, grades, activities (including internships) but the clincher (once you get your foot in the door) is the interview. Do you connect with your interviewers? Are you personable and a quick thinker? |
