Creating an investment firm?

Does anyone have information or experience regarding the creation of an investment firm? Are there any legally required licenses/insurances to have for an investment firm in Canada? I am only 20 years old, to what degree will that affect investor confidence?

I don't know aout Canada(great country by the way) but there are licenses needed here in the US. I can't remember at this time what that is though!!

I will say that being 20 does not affect investor confidence. It is the track record that counts. If you don't have one, you need to get one or no one will hand you there money to invest.
If you are very good you should be able to get family and friends to let you invest there money.
