Hmm good question , i dint do any google search just letting you knw with my own knowledge ok , ok name mutual means common or shared , so a common or shared fund where everyone one puts in money and there would be a manager for it who will invest that for of fund in some or other investment like bond or stocks or any form that is considered as investment , and what ever profit comes out of it is again shared across with everyone that has invested , this is easy form of investment where one doesnt need to worry abt what stocks to invests or what bond to invest as fund managers will decide and they put that money in pool of shares and stocks and bonds.
