Should I save the prospectus for my investment funds?

Should I save the hard copies that my investment co. sends me? Can't i get the same information online and why would I ever need to go back and look at them again?

It's really not necessary. They send a lot of paperwork because the government requires them to, but you don't necessarily need most of it. Sometimes it's nice to know what stocks your fund owns, but I usually just glance at it and then toss it.

And, yes, I believe most of that info is probably available online now. No need to clutter up your files any more than necessary.

You should read the prospectus not just to save it. Usually new prospectus will be sent to you annually with the updates.

I usually save the last two or so. Yes, you can go online and check them, but it is sometimes nice to have the paper copies.
