What are the characteristics of a highly successful Property Manager?

I am working to submit myself into the world of Property Investment. I am looking for any and all helpfull hints, lessons learned, etc. on the ongoings of how to be a highly successful Property Manager.

You need to be good at multi-tasking. You need to make sure you are always looking ahead and pracite prevention. You need to be a good listner because you have a pivital position and have to make several people happy...such as owners, residents, employees, the management company, and vendors. You have to have a unique quality of selling and resident retention and the agressiveness to collect rents and keep money coming in. You have to be good at a little of everything and work smart.

HARD WORK! And flexibility, sales skills, ability to handle stress, being VERY organised, ability to meet deadlines, work to targets and willing to learn from others.

Integrity, Work Hard and Work Smart, Smile often and effective customer's service. Lifelong learning for yourself.

patience!!! you have to deal with a lot of sometimes unhappy people, so patience is always very helpful. Also be able to keep your cool when someone is yelling at you in your face! it's never good to yell back! Accounting and organization are definitely needed too!
