Customer Service or Assistant Manager at a retail store, which career path?

Should I do a customer service job that dealts with investment products, or should I do a job that starts out as a manager trainee at a retail store? I just recently graduated in economics and got these two job offers.

Do the retail job. Office people are weird - they send emails to people who work opposite them instead of talking directly to them, they all gossip and they all think their a bit special when all they do is shuffle bits of paper about.
Retailers (and I mean REAL retailers) are extrovert, wheeler dealers who thrive on interaction with the public, they do deals, use their entreprenuerial spirit, have fun, go to the pub and get drunk and enjoy life.
It's up to you. If you want to be a corporate bum licking nerd who drives around in a bland silver Ford and wears a cheap grey suit with your hair parted at the side then go for the insurance products job.
The retail job will provide a graduate such as yourself great opportunity for larger roles in finance, buying, estate management and marketing.

customer service regarding investments is your best choice. asst. mgr at a retail store is a lowered placement do yourself a favor and take the higher ranked job not to mention it is much more closely related to your degree

Check the job duties of each job and then decide which one you like best. there will always be opportunities to be promoted. How about those ten points for best answer?

unless you like hearing people yell at you over something you have no control over, and expect you to be able to comp them when you cant. I wouldn't take the customer service job unless, it pays allot more.

your carrer path should be guided by your efficiency.....passing out in economics dont give u enough chances in marketing (coustomer service) : investment will catalyse ur studies u can provide better service in such field.
