What are the most important things to consider when deciding which area or borough to buy a property in? |
I'm a first-time buyer planning on purchasing a flat later this year. I want to make sure my investment is made in the right place. I'll most likely be looking for flats within South London but I'm keeping my options open. Hi A, You should visit different areas with properties in your price range and try out the local amenities, check out the public transport links, work out how long it would take you to get to work etc. In London it is often the case that people think an area is "bad" - but the vibe can change literally from street to street so it is always worth checking places out even if you're initially not sure about the area as a whole. For instance, I live in Peckham and most people seem to think it's really rough but I've never had any problems and am very happy there. Where is the nearest "PUB" !!!! I am considering to start investing in foreign property. |
