Investing in student hostel facility?

There are many private universities springng up in my country lately, with very limited hostel accommodation facility.
I am planning to invest/build such a facility by way of investment.
Apart from the bedrooms, washrooms, office reception and possibly security office, I would like to know what other items or provisions I could include to make this facility an outstanding profitable one.

Any helpful contribution from experienced persons would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.

i think its a good idea with a little family touch;))

I think you'd be better off buying a hostel then trying to set one up because local laws can be tricky when creating a new one.

In order to get into the guide books you'll need AYH/IYH certification at least to start and I'd check out their websites to find out more info on getting a hostel into their system.

I'd also suggest getting a job at one just to make sure you like the work. Some of them will "trade" employees so you can travel while working and gaining experience. Being a guest is not the same as being an employee/owner.

Lots of luck !
