Should I invest in Channelview Texas?

I am in the process of purchasing an apartment complex in Channelview Texas. I am from California and plan to visit next week. My agents say it is a good investment. Is there anything else I should know regarding this city? Thanks for your inside input.

I would say go for what you want and not for what other people want. It sounds like a good area though. Maybe you should research that area and who knows you might find some interesting things that you would like. Hope things work out. Have a safe trip. By the way California is so beautiful

you should have done your home work before hand.
long distance property investment is not for the faint of heart or weak of wallet.

are you moving to houston area to oversee the project? is it a small middle or large, new or old project?

I live in CA and I was looking to invest in the Dallas area but the property taxes are very high for every $100,000 you pay about 3% so think before you collect any rent how much will you spend on taxes and utilities. I decided to stick to my investments in AZ. Good luck to you.
