Is it good to invest in Real Estate in arizona????

I plan to buy a home for investment in arizona. but can i rent it for more than a $1000.00 mortgage?

It is good to invest in Real Estate anywhere, provided you do your homework.

Don't overpay for a property, and don't go negative cash-flow for too long.

As far as what you can rent a property for, talk to Real Estate agents or Property Management Companies and see what rents are going for to a comparable property. Look in the newspaper for similar properties in the same area as to what others are charging/paying for rent.

Also, make sure you know what your total mortgage payment will be including taxes/insurance and any additional expenses that may occur.

As long as it isn't ocean front property

Buying is always a good advise but it varies location to location.
I think you need to look the history of the area's appreciation. keep in mind that real estate market is soft, u cn get a bargain. It is possible that value may not go up quickly but at long run it will.
