Am an indian with degree in biomedical engineering soon migrating to canada with husband who's got a job there

i also have a diploma in investments & tax planning.
what job prospects do i have? & what are the best ways that i can locate a job soon. we'll most likely be settling in Edmonton,Alberta .
what preparation should i make before leaving india? should i euip myself with some certification in c# , vb.net..etc?
i have an open work permit

Thanks so much Stan, i will communicate with them soon.
Sashricaal to you too.

Since you already have open work permit I recommend you approach several placement agencies located in Alberta before you leave India.

I suggest you contact following company over the Internet www.frscanada.ca They are very experienced, located in Edmonton and providing they will not have a suitable match for your expertise they are certainly capable of recommending other agencies in this city. They will also advice you beforehand what documentation you need for successful placement so you can get everything in place while still in India.

Please be advised that province of Alberta is presently experiencing a great shortage in skilled people and I doubt you will have any problems landing a position of your choice with appropriate reward. Sashricaal.

Welcome to Canada!
