Mutual fund. Your investments should never be mixed up with life insurance. You only need insurance until you have enough money for all your needs. Then, there is no reason for insurance.

Insurance plans will make only 1-4% compared to 5% or more with mutual funds.

Most often, a good mutual fund will provide a better return with the added benefit of being able to get access to the money without a withdrawal fee in case of emergency.
