Investment in Morocco?

Is it worth buying land to develop or off-plan apartments in Morocco? If so which part and any contact details.

The King of Morocco is very forward-looking and is keen to attract investment and tourism to his country.The airport at Tangier is being expanded to take the biggest aircraft. The tax position is very favourable but unless you are an experienced developer (if you were, you would not be asking the question) my advice is to buy something existing, a property being built or off-plan. There are several international developers operating along the coast.Some have many developments on the Spanish Costas and have recently started up in Morocco where it is virgin territory. Villas bought off- plan six months ago have rocketed in price as construction get under way.
Of course, there's a risk with any investment. The longer you leave your decision the more expensive the sites and properties become.

If you deal with Prestige Properties and they pay part of your inspection visit, say you want to fly direct to Tangier rather than to Malaga and then take a boat.

I am not sure about what part but there is an obvious wealth flowing back to countries like Turkey and Morocco. One reason is because as the second and third generation immigrants keep their ties with their parents' countries while they are becoming influential and affluent in Europe.
What happens in such countries is as the economy grows the richer class expands first and than the middle class follows. The result is a bigger than ever demand for better housing. The housing market responds somewhat slower...
So buy off-plan apartments that are built for the richer segment. And definitely buy in a large industrial city. Housing prices in smaller cities respond with a delay of 1-2 years to the rising housing prices in bigger cities.
