What is a lucrative long term investment?

I am going to be putting 25% of my income into investments. I am younger than any investor I know. I have a few thousand to start with, but I am planning to build a great deal of wealth for the future. I am open to being aggressive. I want to hear what you guys have to say!!

Hello,

I also had a similair problem as you have.
I had a good amount of money, and wanted it to grow.
So I looked around on the internet to find something that is:
1) giving me great returns towards a relatively small risk

2) Professional people who know what they where doing with my money.

I'm glad to say I finally found a moneymanager who is capable of giving me good returns and give me a great support.
On this blog you can follow up all the results that he is making:

My money is working for me, in three months time I already have a ROI of 82%.
So you don't hear me complaining!
Annyway if you would like to get in touch with my moneymanager to have some more information feel free to contact me you can send an email to me at derrekmay at gmail.com.
Then I'll give you the email adress of my moneymanager

Hope this has helped you!

pesonaly iwould choose gold bullion. the dollar is on its way out have you heard of the plans for the ameri-dollar check it out and be concerned

I think you will do well buying the Chinese Yuan, and also agricultural commodities such as coffee, wheat and sugar.

Before you choose very aggressive things mentioned above, you should have a well diversified "core holding" of the product that has been found to be most successful in gaining wealth -- common stocks. Look into Target Retirement Funds from T. Rowe Price (or the more conservative index based retirement funds from Vanguard).

I would read all you can about world news and keep up on it. The reason I say this is because I do that, and from that I am continously reminded that China and India are using an increasing amount of oil, aluminum, coal, all kinds of natural resources that are "non-replenishable". Chinese streets used to be filled with bicycles, but now you will see many cars. I haven't been there to see this for myself, but just saw a special on TV about this stuff. There's no reason for me to doubt what was being said.

Gold is alien to me as an investor/trader, but we hear a lot about it now. I just don't see it rising in the long term like other things that are much more useful. Titanium is another rising metal.

Wheat is going to go up in price, as it already has a lot lately. Believe it or not, I think that honey is going to rise sharply soon. Bees are dying, making less honey. It's due to the environment, but that's another issue.

So, that's the areas I'm looking at now. Having said that, I do know a gold company that Cramer on TV has been talking about for a year or more. AUY, or Yamana Gold. I don't own any, but have in the past. I might have done better to have held onto it rather than sold it for a quick profit.

FCX is probably the best stock to buy right now, but I'd wait to see if it has a sudden drop first, like when the whole market goes down, or just when it goes down on some news. It WILL go back up. It's a well run company. I don't own it either, but hope too soon, when I can get out from under some bad stock picks that are going up now, but not up to where I bought them.

I own GS, Goldman Sachs, and I believe that over the next 1/2 year it will go from where it is today, around 173, up to at least 213 again. A nice 40 dollar increase or 23% increase.

Since you are so young, just be sure to think long-term.

Your first option, should be to open a retirement account. This is always a good investment, regardless
of who you are.

If you have fully funded your retirement account and would like other options, you should consider a DRIP Plan.

They are seldom recommended by brokers due to the low rate of commissions received. However, these
reinvestment plans can be very powerful long-term investments. Studies have shown that DRIP's are one of
the best strategies on Wall Street.

They are inexpensive and easy to start. New investors to the stock market should definitely consider a DRIP Plan.

Companies like Toyota, Royal Canadian Bank, Sony, Bank of America, General Electric and many other Blue Chip
Stocks can be purchased through your DRIP Plan, with as little as 1 share in most cases.

These long-term plans are great for beginners as well as veterans. Check them out.
