Should I buy12 years for retirement $10,900, in a lump sum, or make a payment plan, to pay $11,200.?

I really need expert advise. Which option would be wiser to apply in my situation?

I want to buy back 12 years for my retirement plan. I still have some years to wait until retirement, but this is the time I have the chance to do so.

I could buy it back in a lump sum of $10, 889, or make a payment plan for one year, which will cost $11,200.

I'm not sure if is wise to take this money out from my investment portafolio, ( I'm aloud to take $10,000 out of it, without any penalties) , or just make the payment plan even though it will cost me few hundrend dollars more, over one year!!!

There is nothing in what I see here to believe this is an honest investment. The numbers don't make sense. If in doubt ...don't give out.

Need more information on what type of pan this is....

If this money is already in an "investment portfolio" then it probably is tax deferred. If you borrow money against it, "take it out" then you pay it back with post tax dollars, so this can be a 25% tax hit, Ask yourself, would I take out a 25% loan.... I hope the answer is no....

So even if there are no penalty fees, the tax penalty should be enough.

The payment plan is more safe in my view i deal with things like this everyday and i would probably do that mysepf though your job and housing payments should all be taken into account. And i always say to make things easier win the lottery.

i hate time payments.i would do it all at once..............you have to decide what you are more comfortable with
