What is quality of loan portfolio? |
we prepair our investment project and face this problem I'm guessing here, since you haven't really explained the context. But some loans are of higher "quality" than others, depending on the financial stability and solvency of the borrower. A loan to the US Gov, in the form of a treasury bond, is of extremely high quality. A loan to a third world country on the brink of bankruptcy or revolution is of low quality. Low quality bonds or loans should have a higher rate of return. If you have a low credit rating, you will pay a higher rate on your credit card or home loan. |
