Does nominee in RBI 8% tax saving Bond continue to receive interest after death of the original investor? |
My father had invested Rs 2 lakh in RBI 8% tax saving bonds (obtained through Oriental Bank of Commerce) on individual capacity with my mother as nominee. He was drawing half yearly interest from it. Recently he expired. Yes that is why she is the nominee. Plz inform the bank about the expiry with a death certificate. Yes. |
