When NYSE "DELIST" a company(a stock) What is usually the outcome, of that stock.?? (nervous investor) It will usually trade on one of the OTC markets if it is delisted. The practical effect is that the stock price will go down. However, you should also be aware that stocks get delisting notifications and can appeal those. So a delisting notification does not neccessarily mean it will be delisted. I would investigate the situation completely and find out why they were delisted . If I knew this information I be ready to gracefully bow out of the stock and shore up the loss . The price tanks. it has nothing to do with whether the company goes under. rather it is because it loses its liquidity and volume trading. It does notnecessarily reflect the merits on the underlying firm. |
