Successful business owner for 8 years. Need working capital loan from private investor. Where do you start?

My business is technology. The banks are conservative right now. I have a proven business. I'm willing to pay interest payment above what banks offer to willing individual. I need working capital to finish the infrastructure to totally saturate market. I will give more details to anyone interested.

The banks are conservative for personal home mortages, due to the subprime mortage fallout. However, Commercial loans are still being given out as usual. Something about about a successful business for 8 years not being qualified for a bank loan just doesn't smell right.

start with a Bank, if they do not like it then it is generally a good yardstick of what your chances are of making it.

The bank check is a good idea as a starter. Even tho they may not loan you money, they may offer some good advice.
