My dad asked the same question; he ended up meeting some chinese dude over the internet...and got him on msn..so he could help him with his business (he really knew alot about business this guy, he seemed like a genius)).... that chinese dude was meant to come here to ireland a month ago..he lied twice telling us he got his passport stolen...in the end he took alotta dad's money and dad found out he was a fraud...
the lesson is NEVER DO DEALS WITH PEOPLE YOU DON'T KNOW.... it was dad's first business attempt, and it was a real kick in the heart when he found out, he was depressed for ages because my dad built a good friendship with him for the 8months they were talking about the business (via internet)... anyway,, just meet more business people at conferences and everything..and you'll find the right one... cause trust is flippin vital!!!

Sounds like you need a business angel.

Google (or Yahoo) for 'internet business angels'

1st thing is to come up with a plan. Make sure it shows how you're going to make a lot of money with the site..
Once you do that, then go looking for investors.

Have you taken a look at the forum that Bank of America advertises here on Yahoo Answers?

Give it a shot!

BEST WISHES!

Depending if you're looking for a working partner or financial or both, networking within your trade or profession is usually the best way.

Or, you could put an ad in a metropolitan newspaper(blind ad of course-you don't want every scam artist on the planet contacting you) or trade or professional journal.

Also contact business brokers (people that buy + sell businesses) or investment bankers.
