How would I go about finding a private investor to help me with the start-up money for flipping a house? with the way the housing market is right now I would not even consider this. Flipping was all the rage from 2002-2005 and it dramatacally slowed in 2006 when the interest rates claimed higher. Wait until you can do it alone. Unless you have someone in your family that wants to get into it. Too many times if you go looking for a money partner you end up finding a crook. They of course don't look, smell, feel or sound like one. Be very, very careful with real estate deals and partnering with stranger. Friends and family with 401ks or hard money lenders will lend up to 65-75% of the deal. So if you use both resources, then you have 100% financing. You also can have a friend with great credit to get conventional bank financing. |
