If he's a minority shareholder then you can vote him off the board.
If its a partnership, you usually have a "shotgun" clause in your partnership agreement stating that you have the right to offer to buy him out. If he refuses, then he is obligated to buy you out for the same price you offered.
If he just loaned you the money, then treat him as any other creditor.

Buy them out.
