Where can I find an investor to invest about $100,000 into my automatic fertilizer apparatus?

I have already make a prototype for this project. Now all I need is a financial backer for advertisement /marketing and production.

If you already have a product designed and you have the patent, than you are looking for either a Venture Capitalist or an Angel Investor. More than likely, you will be better off with the Venture Capitalist. My suggestion is to contact Broadmark Capital. They are a phenominal company and the CEO is a very respectable, brillant, family-man.
They are based out of Seattle, with an office in New York. I think they are currently looking at expanding an office to Chicago as well. So I can't say how close they are too you, but it's irrelevant really, as I know that some of their staff travel extensively. My suggestion is to Yahoo! Search their name and contact them directly. They will take it from there, and if they are not for you...they will point you in the right direction.
