I am a beginner investor and need advice on firms I can approach and how to approach them.?

What are good investing firms I can go to with confidence and trust? My area code is 84037; so If you have a favorite firm I would appreciate it if you could spend a minute and see if there is one near me.

I'm not lazy, I can look up the addresses of the firms etc, myself. But I just want some opinions on great investing firms.

I'd recommend Scottrade--no fees, $7 trades both market and limit orders.

However, if you're not already well-educated on investing, I can not discourage you enough about entering the market with "pros" taking care of your money. They'll make money no matter what, but there are NO guarantees on what they'll earn you.

You need to know at least the basics up front.

well, the only investment i know a bit about is on how to invest on a life partner, a man, a husband, friend, and confidant. That's all i know up to the moment. Can't think of anything else right now, but how to get to him. Cause i love him.

Go to stanford and find the geeks

Go to a local bank and open up a Certificate of deposit or a savings account..Start at the groundfloor, save some money, when you have accumulated around 10,000 min. then invest half of it into a growth/balanced mutual fund..
